Water feed pipe burst triggered alarm and avoided production losses

What happened?

The FitMachine® detected a rapid change in vibration, noise and temperature on the main water distribution pump. The problem was detected in the middle of the night thus allowing the maintenance team enough time for the pump to be stopped, minimising further damage and avoiding production downtime.

Client outcome

Alarm was picked up and pump stopped. We had a pipe blow out which resulted in pump running off end of curve. This explains increase temp and vibration. We are very pleased with FitMachine®.
